6 months
Today, Matthew and Emily went for their monthly RSV shots, flu shots and 6 month well check and Matthew has decided he will play a little game of catch up. He weighed 13 lbs 2.4 oz, 24.88 in and Emily weighs 13 lbs 4.8oz, 26 in. The pediatrician has given them the go ahead to make the trip to Louisiana so the Friday before Christmas we will be loading up and heading East!!

More Rollin....
Matthew rolled over from tummy to back today during tummy time with Ann Marie (our neighbor and sitter) just before I was going to start my work. So we both cheered and he was startled and made a face as if he was saying "What's the big deal?"
Emily has also rolled from back to tummy once and continues to roll from tummy to back during tummy time.

5 month Update

5 months already and Matthew weighs 11 lbs 1.8 oz and Emily weighs 11 lbs 13.2 oz

We have been enjoying walks on the trail and can finally ride in our big stroller!

Bumbo chairs are fun too!!!

We are ready to go on our first trip to Houston... Mommy and Daddy went out to eat at Vietopia and we had our bottles. Emily cried nearly the whole way to Houston but Matthew did not make one single peep for the entire trip!

We love to play in our exersaucer but we have to share and use a blanket for some extra stuffing!

Growing....
This past Tuesday, the twins went for their synagis shots for RSV prevention. The shot is HUGE and I don't blame them for screaming and being cranky all afternoon. But more important is that they are getting BIG....
Matthew 9 lbs 6 oz
Emily 10 lbs 12 oz
Hard to imagine them at 2 lbs and 3 lbs. They have come a long way in 4 months!!

4 months old
The babies are 4 months old today. Where has the time gone?? We will be going to the doctor either Thursday or Friday for their RSV shots so we will have an update on their growth. I can tell you they have gotten bigger. I had to pack away the preemie and newborn clothes, they are both wearing 0-3 month clothes!
They both smile when you talk to them and follow a person as they walk around the room. Emily has started imitating sounds that we make (well specifically that David makes). She is showing signs of being a daddy's girl already. So I can only hope that Matthew is a momma's boy :)
I will give a update once we go to the doctor. We will be seeing the doctor quite a bit since RSV shots are given every 30 days throughout the RSV season which is from October until April, good thing we like our pediatrician!

Weight Check
Way too much time has passed since I have updated this, I have been a tiny bit busy....
The babies had a dr appointment yesterday for a weight check and some shots. Matthew weighs 7 lbs 10 oz and Emily weighs 9 lbs 8 oz. They have tripled their weights in 3 1/2 months. They aren't on the growth chart yet but they are following a nice curve parallel to the growth chart, which is excellent news in the preemie world!
We are developing a schedule....Matthew likes to stay awake after his morning bottle and watches me fold clothes or do some computer work. He stays alert and ohs and ahs while I play music for him or let him play on his Baby Einstein mat. Emily prefers to sleep during the morning and be awake in the afternoons. She is the sleeper of the two. During the night they usually take their last bottle around 11 and off to bed... Matthew is the early riser and wakes up between 5-6am to eat, which works out nicely b/c David is getting ready for work then so he can play with them for a few minutes. Emily gets woken up then too so they can have a early morning snack and back to bed til 9. Matthew is eating 3 oz and Emily is eating 4 oz. And occasionally they get a little prune juice to help with pooping! They enjoy story time and bath time with Daddy in the evenings. We have also been taking them on some walks down to the park with the dogs when the weather is "cool." They are working on holding their heads up and looking around at their surroundings.
(Pics to come later... I promise)
